I came across this spread a few days ago, but I wanted to make sure I had my facts straight. According to the Cut and Models.com, Rose Cordero is the first black model to appear on the cover of Vogue Paris since Liya Kebede in 2002. I’m not going to make a fuss about it, it’s historical, however Rose continues to work and book shows and in my eyes that’s making history everyday. Thanks Vogue Paris for noticing! February 19, 2010

Dominican Beauty, Rose Cordero Transforms into Grace Jones for Vogue Paris!
I’m starting to think I have an obsession with Domincan models; first Arlenis, now Rose! She looks beyond stunning in this ode to 80s icon Grace Jones inspired shoot for Vogue Paris! She was shot by Paolo Kudacki and style by Melanie Huynh while attacking Grace’s edge, sharpness and intensity. This spread evokes glamour and power; Rose is not playing!

Lara Stone for Vogue Paris September 2008
Wow I am speechless. I love this cover of Vogue Paris featuring the poster girl of edge, Lara Stone. What a transformation! The dark hair, visible eyebrows, the coy/girlish glare, with no gap in sight; it’s safe to say that this isn’t the Lara we’re use to. I love it. I’m sure she’s returned to her punky blonde ways, but kudos Vogue Paris. Check her out below in the November 08 issue of iD.
