First Look at the Prada Spring 2010 Campaign!

I am literally drooling. Remember how crazy I went for the lucite overlays channeling a 1970s living room curtain, and bloomers in Prada’s Spring 2010 Runway show in Milan which I aptly called a Pantless Parade? Ok I’ll admit, I wasn’t sold at first but the more I reviewed it, the more I fell in love. I love the use of steel gray, it’s a common color, but not an everyday color which makes it au courant. Well here is a first look at all that goodness come to fruition! I love this campaign! It encompassess all the lovely elements we saw strut down the runways leaving a bit of mystery as the model (who ever she is) face is chopped off just about the nose, leaving a brazen glimpse of an over-glossed red lip. I’m crazy about those crystallized baubles right below the handle on the bag and I love the pigtails! Can’t wait to see more.

Prada Spring 2010: A Pantless Parade

Filed under: Prada Spring 2010 — ladolcevitainfo @ 5:32 pm

Lately, it’s been much debate about the on going trend of the Spring 2010 runways- the lack of bottoms.  The major cap occured in Milan at Prada where models were sent down the runway in diaper like bottoms or biker shorts, but very little coverage. So the question is, would this all be due to the rise of the Gaga, or are designers getting inspiration else wear. Style.com assesses the situation is as follows:

Remember, we’re talking about a designer who essentially invents her own drum and then marches to its completely original (and, of course, eventually seminal) beat. At any rate, we thought we should point out that Mrs. Prada was going pants-less in her collection a whole decade ago. Here, are a few of Prada’s greatest leggy hits, left to right, from Spring 2007, Spring 2000, Spring 2003, and Spring 2001.
Anywho, while you decided let’s take a look at the looks for Prada Spring 2010. I’m on the fence but as usual, Miuccia Prada uses unique fabrics, stucture and plays around with color. This collection brings me back to 1970s, 80s interior design where you would have to part a curtin of crystals to go from one roon to the next… so old school. Oh and not really feeling the shoes this time around.. There giving my psychedelic Cinderalla. What say you?

On a totally random note, the designer chose Lil Mama’s “My Lip Gloss is Poppin’” for the music. Weird.
